"The Watch" from the "GIRL BY ROY LICHTENSTEIN" collection showcases Roy Lichtenstein's iconic artwork, "Girl," with a printed face that captures the essence of pop art. Both the matte blue case and strap feature the same artwork collaboration with MoMA on the back.

Roy Lichtenstein (American, 1923-1997) created "Girl" as a double page headpiece for the book "1¢ Life" in 1963, which was published in 1964. This lithograph is part of an illustrated book containing sixty-two lithographs and reproductions. The composition measures 12 ¾ x 22” (32.4 x 55.9cm), and the irregular sheet size is 16 1/8 x 22 13/16” (41 x 58 cm).

This particular edition was published by Eberhard W. Kornfeld in Bern, Switzerland, and printed by Maurice Beaudet. The book was released in a limited edition of 100 special copies and 2,000 regular copies. It is now housed in The Museum of Modern Art, New York, and was generously gifted by the author, Walasse Ting, the editor, Sam Francis, and the publisher, E. W. Kornfeld.
